Interference in e-Contracting

The recent advent of e-contracting — examples include industry marketplaces and e-procurement systems of US automakers, e-auctions, and e-commerce — provides a natural stimulus for the study of the interaction of security and economic incentives. As security theorists have noted, (1) communication networks are only imperfectly secure and (2) the degree of insecurity depends on economic incentives.
